About Us

The Art

Each painting is unique, but true to it’s original iconic card. Baseball, Football, Basketball and Hockey are sports represented in the gallery, but there is always room for more. Laine takes pride in matching and blending the perfect colors and with the precision of her lines and lettering. While she mainly paints from sports cards, she loves doing commissioned sports themed pieces of your kids or family members. All paintings are done on 300 pound cold press watercolor paper and include a white matte that makes it fit to a standard frame. All art is shipped flat in a protected box. Framing is available, but for pickup only. We can give suggestions for the best type of framing if the piece is shipped.

The Artist

Laine Virtue Harper was born and raised in Northwest Arkansas and is a true Razorback fan. She attended the University of Arkansas, receiving a BFA in art with an emphasis in painting and graphic design, and a BA in Advertising and Public Relations. Her passion is dance, art, traveling, baseball games and spending time with her 3 kids. Laine owned and directed Kaleidoscope Dance Academy in Bentonville for 13 years and currently teaches at Williams Dance and Gymnastics Center in Fayetteville. Because of her love of art, and inspiration from Kerry’s love for sports, Laine began painting sports art and has shipped pieces all over the country. Her favorite painting to date is the 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle Rookie.

The Collector

Kerry Meythaler grew up in St Louis and is a huge St Louis Cardinals baseball fan. As a young child he began collecting cards for fun and continued to become a serious collector while in college as access to the internet opened the door to vintage cards that weren’t as readily available at his local card shop. He collects all sports, both modern and vintage, but vintage baseball will always be his first love.
