Lana's Heart Foundation is very close to Laine and her family. Laine's son Leighton was born with the same rare heart defect as Lana was, Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS). The families met through Laine's dance studio, and from that day on, the Stringfellows and the Harpers bonded for life. Lana babysat Leighton and they would visit each other when in the hospital. It was a very special friendship.
